Privacy Policy | Sharkey Pools

This policy explains how Sharkey Pools, LLC ("Sharkey Pools," "we," "us") collects and uses information when you visit sharkeypools.com or contact us. If you have questions, email sharkey@sharkeypools.com or call (904) 638-6045.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote or contact us, we collect what you enter in the form: typically your name, phone number, email address, pool address, the service you're interested in, your preferred contact method, and any message you include.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site and hosting provider may record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the site that referred you. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site and which pages lead to quote requests, calls and texts. These tools use cookies or similar technologies, and Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. We do not send your name, phone number, email or address to Google Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising tools. We also use advertising tools from Google (Google Ads) and Meta (the Facebook Pixel). They help us measure how our ads perform and show our ads to people who have visited this site. These tools use cookies and similar technologies, and Google and Meta process this data under their own privacy policies. We do not send them the details you enter in our quote form. You can control ad personalization in your Google ad settings and your Facebook ad preferences, or block cookies in your browser.

How we use your information

How we share information

Sharkey Pools does not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We share information only with service providers that help us run the business. Examples include Web3Forms, which delivers our website form submissions to us by email, the advertising and analytics providers described above, our scheduling and billing software, our website host and analytics providers. These providers may use the information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law.

SMS / text messaging

If you check the SMS consent box on our form, or otherwise agree to receive texts from us, we may send account notifications, customer care messages and service updates to the number you provided. Up to 5 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service.

Opting out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You can also email sharkey@sharkeypools.com or call (904) 638-6045.
Help: reply HELP to any message for help.
Mobile information sharing: we do not share mobile information, including SMS opt-in data and consent, with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Data use: information collected during SMS opt-in is used only to send the messages described above.

How we protect your information

We limit access to customer information to the people who need it to serve you, and we use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

How long we keep information

We keep quote requests and customer records for as long as needed to provide service, keep business and tax records, and meet legal obligations. Then we delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, unless we need to keep it for legal or business records. Contact us at sharkey@sharkeypools.com. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Children

Our site is meant for adults and homeowners. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
